A Georgian style break-arch case
typical of the work of the London
maker William Webster, circa. 1710.
The cabinet of the Chatsworth is
decorated with book-matched burr veneers
and inlaid with satinwood banding. The case
features fluted quarter columns to the trunk
and “Corinthian” pillars to the hood. The hood
is removable to allow for movement
adjustment. The cabinet is bleached, hand
rubbed and waxed to achieve an
“antique” patina.
